Centre piece of the construction was a tunnel with a length of 1,418 m constructed by mining method. The North and South tunnels were constructed using a cut-and-cover construction method. Both 276 m and 456 m long sections utilized a full hydraulic tunnel formwork carriage from Doka.
Last year Held & Franche had already concreted the 1,100 m long avalanche protection construction “Erlachgalerie” in the Tyrolean Defreggental with a Doka tunnel formwork carriage. Held & Francke had purchased this formwork carriage earlier. The component parts were reused for the new formwork solution in the Henndorf tunnel.
