| Metro in Athen, extension of line 2 (B) |
"In 2 Metro Stations in Athen (Elliniko and Argiroupoli), a thick slab of 0.90 m had to be constructed. To enable an easy transportation of earth (out of the main tunnel) through the carriage a big passage had to be designed. Another critical factor was the fastest possible reuse of the formwork in the next concreting steps. Doka Hellas developed the idea of diagonal struts to lead the vertical forces to the existing platforms existing on both sides of the railway tracks."
