Doka at bauma 2007
Doka - forming the future!
Under the motto “Doka – forming the future!” Doka will be showcasing the latest product developments and trends at bauma 2007, giving visitors a preview of the future of forming. Its keywords “Safe. Fast. Efficient.” underline the company’s guiding principle of “...helping construction firms to build even faster, better and more cost-effectively”. Firms equipped with the high-performing products, flexible systems and high safety standards of Doka are ideally set up to meet the challenges of the future.
To achieve genuine improvements in terms of swifter construction progress and high workplace safety, it takes sustained, long-term innovation in all areas of formwork technology:
Dokaset - the wall formwork that needs up to 50% fewer ties
Dokaset wall formwork, for multi-storey residential construction, cuts manhours with its ease and speed of handling. Compared to conventional framed formwork, Dokaset needs up to 50% fewer wall-ties. The fact that it is operated from ground level, with the wall-ties all at the same height, cuts forming-times still further. Its new, adjustable form-ties can quickly be fitted by just one man, working from one side of the formwork. Integral safety components such as a ladder system, pouring platforms and safety railings together ensure the very highest safety. Dokaset is delivered to the site pre-assembled and folded closed, and is readied for action in a few simple steps. Its plastic-coated Xlife sheet and sturdy frame, hot-dip galvanised both inside and out, give it extra-long service life. Dokaset’s practical stacking facility, and the new corner solution integrated in the Dokaset system, give it great versatility in practice.
Supporting construction frame Universal F - continuous height adjustment up to 12.80 m
The proven Supporting construction frame Universal F is now height-adjustable to within 1 cm, e.g. for top-cover underground construction projects. A new attachable frame, with pre-mounted stacking plates, allows a maximum pour height of 12.80 m. Even units as tall as these can be horizontally repositioned with no need for a crane, saving both time and money: Either on rails with the aid of flanged wheels, or directly on the concrete with either a crawler drive or the new attachable rollers. A novel design of spindle with an articulated baseplate makes it easier to accommodate any unevenness or gradients in the ground. With its extended range of safety accessories, the proven Supporting construction frame Universal F features safe vertical access systems and platform solutions for every height.
Framed formwork Framax Xlife - very cost-effective, thanks to high number of re-use cycles
The rugged, easy-to-handle framed formwork system Framax Xlife has added a new member. The 120 cm wide Framax universal panel is now also available in a 3.30 m panel height. The special hole-grid makes the Universal panels ideal for cost-saving forming of outside corners, wall junctions, stop-ends and column formworks.
Table Lifting System TLS - vertical repositioning with no need for a crane
A brand-new development, the Table Lifting System TLS from Doka sets a new benchmark for craneless vertical shifting of Dokamatic tables, opening up entirely new possibilities in terms of preliminary calculation and site planning. This innovative hoisting appliance is used for safe, craneless lifting of Doka tableforms to the next storey – at a speed of 10 m/min. The valuable crane time which it saves is then available for other operations on the site. This speeds up construction workflows and efficiently reduces labour costs. The system’s integrated brackets make it possible to assemble climbing table-lifting units with a lifting height of up to 10 m. These TLS climbing units can be crane-lifted to other positions on the site at any time. Alternatively, the TLS can be stood on a base slab, permitting lifting-heights of up to 40 m. Horizontal repositioning of the tableforms is also carried out with no need for a crane, using the field-proven attachable drive unit and shifting trolley.
SKE 50 plus - the automatic climbing formwork for structures of any shape and height
This new and improved version of the Automatic climbing formwork SKE 50 offers even greater cost efficiency and flexibility. Thanks to its modular design and high degree of pre-assembly, it can quickly be readied for use on the site. As well as this, “SKE 50 plus” is extremely easy to operate, making it an efficient solution for piers and pylons inclined up to 15° from the vertical, and for both simple and more complex high-rise cores. Maximum safety in all phases of the work is ensured by the wide working platforms, enclosed on all sides, and by the fact that a large number of self-climbing units reposition themselves together hydraulically, independently of the crane, with the climbing scaffolds being structure-guided at all times. By making it possible to reposition even large formwork gangs independently of the crane (and thus of the wind conditions), the “SKE 50 plus” system makes a decisive contribution to a smooth construction workflow. Together with the new radio remote-control, increased hydraulic-cylinder stroke height, and reductions in the weights of individual components, this improves the cost effectiveness and flexibility of the self-climbing system and provides enhanced handling safety.
Climbing formwork Xclimb 60 - the modular system for a wide range of uses in building construction
The new climbing-formwork system Xclimb 60 is an all-round, cost-effective system specially designed for the high-rise construction field. It adapts to variations in the storey heights with no need for any modifications to the climbing scaffolds, and climbs either with crane assistance or hydraulically. It is attached to the structure by way of either walls or floor-slabs, as required. This enables the user to utilise this climbing system with either framed or timber-beam formworks for exterior façades, punctuated facades and high-rise cores. Xclimb 60 system components can also be used as a climbing protection screen for safeguarding slab-edges. The option of making a full-area enclosure provides working conditions that are every bit as safe as those on the ground, and leads to substantial time-savings in the forming and reinforcement operations. As well as simplifying logistics, the system’s high degree of pre-assembly facilitates on-site assembly and handling. Its modular system concept makes for efficient utilisation planning. The climbing scaffolds are continuously structure-guided, enabling lifting and resetting to take place in any weather and ensuring a high level of safety in all phases of the work. The wide platforms give the site crew plenty of room to move in.
Load-bearing tower Staxo 100: The best load-bearing tower on the market - and the safest
Staxo 100 supplements the existing Staxo load-bearing tower system with extra frames that have an extremely high load capacity of 100 kN per leg. The non-skid-runged ladder integrated in the tower frame, 60 cm wide clip-on assembly battens with and without manholes, “mounted-ahead” guard rails for safe assembly and dismantling of towers in the upright, and defined hitching points for fall-arrest equipment all ensure maximum safety and faster working. For filler zones, a separate single leg which can be connected in the frame plane makes it possible to erect e.g. 5-leg towerframe units which can be cycled in one piece (i.e. without being dismantled), saving a great deal of time. The previous range of application has been enlarged by new diagonal crosses, with lengths of 0.60 m and 3.00 m respectively. The new “Heavy duty screw jack 70 top” provides enhanced flexibility and facilitates adaptation to sloping floor-slabs and split-level slabs. The Heavy duty screw jack 130 provides vertical adjustment right down to the last millimetre, even where the support area includes high steps. In this situation, the split-nut design of the clamping nut means that this does not need to be turned through the full length of the threaded spindle. The new Shifting adapter TG for stacker trucks makes light work of shifting the towers, and of assembling and dismantling them in the upright while working from ground level.
Platform system Xsafe - the unbeatably fast safety system
Personal safety on the site also boosts productivity, by enabling the crew to work faster. The Platform system Xsafe significantly enhances on-site safety. With its specially folding working platforms, integral side and end guards, permanently mountable ladders and auto-closing manhole lids, it is ready for operation straight away. When used on high wall formwork, Xsafe allows the panel struts to be attached to the back of the brackets in a “site-compatible” way that leaves unobstructed workplace access routes, and simplifies the planning. The rugged design, hot-dip galvanised for extra-long life, is tailored to the Doka framed formwork Framax Xlife. Xsafe is an addition to Doka’s well proven, GS-tested range of platform products: The Bracket platform M for masonry and pre-cast construction, and the Folding platform K for concrete construction. Bracket platforms M are high-grade, site-ready, lightweight service and working scaffolds to DIN 4420 with a permissible load capacity of 300 kg/m². Folding platforms K are pre-assembled, work-ready scaffold platforms to DIN 4420, with a higher load capacity of 600 kg/m².
Ladder system XS - 100% safety on all up/down access routes
It must be possible to get to every workplace via safe pathways and vertical access routes. Permanently mounted ladders have proved ideal in this regard. The new Ladder system XS ensures safe, speedier working and smooth and efficient construction workflows. The ladder, complete with an integral ladder cage, is always in place, to ensure safety-optimised vertical access to pouring platforms and/or intermediate platforms. The Ladder system XS is a true “all-rounder”. It can be attached to Doka wall and column formworks and Supporting construction frames in a few simple steps, at ground level. This enables 100% compliance with all the regulations.
Eurex floor props - fast, safe forming, even under great load
Doka floor props Eurex 20 and Eurex 30 are the props of choice for every application. They offer operational safety and ease of handling, for instance with their indelibly numbered pegging holes for quick height adjustment. Their upwards-elbowed fastening clamps reduce the risk of injury. The special geometry of the thread makes the props easier to adjust or release even when under high load. The Eurex family has added a new member for infill zones between tableforms and for temporary repropping: The 7.00 m long Eurex 20 floor prop. Like all other Doka Eurex floor props, it is type-tested to EN 1065 and has a uniform load-bearing capacity of 20 kN irrespective of how far it is extended. With its high-grade hot-dip galvanised finish, it can look forward to a long service life. An extra, larger removable folding tripod is available for these big props, making it easy to stand them in the upright and giving them the necessary stability.
