Doka in brief
Eleven Towers at Business Bay, Dubai
Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises is constructing 11 office towers using Doka climbing and self-climbing systems. On seven of the towers, each of which is over 40 storeys tall, Automatic climbers SKE 50 are in action. For the lower buildings, Climbing formwork 150 F is being used. On all 11 towers, sets of Large-area formwork Top 50 are being used to form the cores, columns and load-bearing walls.
Astralux residential complex, Lativia
In Riga, contractors SIA PBLC had only 5 months to construct the shell of the 24-storey “Astralux” apartment building. The only way to stay within a timeframe as tight as this is by using top-quality formwork technology. The Windshield GCS system from Doka provided complete safety for the slab-forming operations, and rapid construction progress. A self-climbing formwork solution for the walls of the structure core saved yet more time.
World Financial Centre, China
The structure shell of the 492 m tall building will be completed by the summer of this year. The contracting consortium of China Construction Engineering & Shanghai Construction is using SKE 50 automatic climbers with Large-area formwork Top50 for the 4 “megacolumns” on the outside edges of this high-rise structure. The automatic climbing formwork is being raised in 4-day cycles – as far as the 101st storey.
