The full-area enclosure around the uppermost levels of the building enables all work to be carried out in complete safety, protected from all climatic influences. A loading platform can be integrated into the protection screen for straightforward, safe repositioning of floor-slab formwork, tools and other materials.

Huge flexibility in on-site use
Benefit from the system's multi-use capability, with features like
-
individually adaptable working platforms
-
optimised cycle times, as loads can be transferred into either the current or previous casting section
-
the option of using it as a self-climbed system if there are crane-time constraints, with hand-shifted hydraulic lifting appliances
-
the ability to reposition the protection screen even while the floor-slab formwork is still in place
High standard of safety for your site crew
Safety is "built in" to all phases of the work, as
-
the system is anchored to the structure at all times
-
the guided repositioning operation is independent of the weather
-
the crew are protected by an enclosure that can be adapted to meet site-specific requirements
Simple modular design concept based on a practical "construction-kit" system
Save time and money because of
-
the high degree of pre-assembly
-
the way the system simplifies planning, utilisation and handling
-
The system is set by crane on the first floor and then climbed up with an integrated hydraulic system that releases all crane occupancy back to the actual construction progress on site.
-
To reduce even more crane time, the foldable protection screen can be equipped with outrigger loading platforms that can be used to store vertical formwork during the slab pour or wheel out material like re-shores from floors below.
-
Looking into more detail, there are only a few single steps required to accomplish one complete cycle.

Moving Large Formwork Tables
-
When the crane is ready to lift the large formwork tables, the top of the screen is fold down with hydraulic cylinders.
-
This fast fold down solution allows enough room to even pinch the tables at the slab edge.
-
As soon as the table has left the building, the screen is put back into place by reversing one lever on the hydraulic unit. The standard hydraulic unit allows you to fold down two screens at the same time – this can be increased up to 7 screens in one step if required for your project.

Since the Doka protection screen is always safely guided along the structure at any given point, it is also possible to climb the system when all outrigger platforms are fully loaded.
The safely guided system allows you to keep your tight cycling schedule because wind loads that can force a crane to shut down will have no influence to the work sequence of the system. All work on the new deck can be done immediately with full edge protection allowing for a fast and safe work sequence on the overall construction project. With the screen raised now in the winter time, tremendous cost savings can be achieved by heating the structure rather than the water of the concrete to be placed.
