As a company with strong regional roots and a heritage reaching back over more than 50 years, the Doka Group has always been keen to harmonise its environmental and social responsibilities with its business goals. This is a corporate culture which is very much shaped by sustainable business practices, and which both Management and staff all accept and understand as the mandatory 'backdrop' to all that they do in practice.
The Doka Group thus deliberately invests in its employees, in measures for optimising resource consumption and minimising environmental impacts, and in nurturing its relationships with stakeholders. To make this commitment public and transparent, Doka will henceforth be publishing a sustainability report in a three-year rhythm, comprehensively explaining its achievements, developments and innovations on the sustainability front.
An unequivocal commitment
Thinking and acting sustainably is a core competence at Doka. This across-the-board implementation of sustainability in all areas of our business is the result of a professionally guided process going back several years. “Over the past few years, we have deliberately invested in optimising all areas of our business, and are proud of our employees, who have contributed so much towards making these improvements possible. At the same time, these successes are an important spur for us to continue building on our pioneering role as a sustainability-oriented enterprise in the formwork sector. For us, responsible business conduct is absolutely axiomatic”, emphasises Doka CEO Josef Kurzmann.
Responsible use of resources
Environmental protection and careful, conscientious use of resources have been deep concerns of Doka's for decades. With continuous systematic process optimisation, Doka has been able to achieve major savings in resource-utilisation and a significant reduction in emissions. Resolutely continuing along this successful path is a central plank of Doka's environmental policy. To ensure 100 % compliance with all environment-related stipulations, these have been made an integral part of the Doka Group Management System. Doka Industrie GmbH's certification to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) as part of the compliance audit performed on the Doka Group in accordance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) underlines Doka's high degree of professionalism in this field as well.
