  • Erected with a formwork solution from Doka, the Palazzo Lombardia, is the 'Best Tall Building 2012'.
The award-winning projects stand out for their unique design, technical innovations and sustainability-oriented mode of construction. One of the evaluation criteria is how well the building is embedded into the local infrastructure and attuned to its environment. This is why a Best Tall Building will also enrich the surrounding cityscape and create a pleasant habitat for residents.

This year it was the Palazzo Lombardia that scooped the title of ‘Best Tall Building Europe’. This accolade is also a success for Doka, whose formwork technology helped make this new administration building one of Milan’s most outstanding structures. The 161 m tall tower blends seamlessly into this novel, sustainably designed overall concept. Green roofs, rotating sunshades and active climate walls make the Palazzo Lombardia an international showcase project at the heart of Italy’s vibrant capital of fashion.
