Langenthal Tunnel

Switzerland

The Langenthal Tunnel is part of the 'Rail 2000' project, and 46 sections have to be cast in rectangular shape with another 42 round-section castings in between. This results from the particular pattern of road crossings and cover depths. "That will save a great deal of money", states Director Fritz Hasler to the proposal by Doka Switzerland to handle the differing cross-sections with a single formworking set.
