Nibelungen Bridge, Regensburg

Germany

Two composite forming carriages were fielded for casting the 30 m wide and 208 m long deck slab of the new Nibelungen Bridge in Regensburg, Bavaria. Due to the cantilevering steel brackets, the formwork- and platform unit was designed so that it could be swung out hydraulically to be repositioned, at the push of a button.
