To keep the distances between the longitudinal girders of the composite forming carriage constant in the broadening zone of the bridge structure and thus ensure a constant track-width, the Doka project engineers devised a system in which the roller trestles are not mounted directly on the longitudinal girders of the structural steelwork (as is usually the case), but on a transverse steel girder.
