India is going to get a new landmark. The first residential skyscraper will be built in the North Indian city of Noida. The 300-m high Spira Tower will offer a total of 80 storeys, with 13 projected to accommodate luxury apartments. The tower is part of the urban development project "Supernova" initiated by the Supertech Ltd. Group. Doka was selected as a reliable partner for integrated formwork solutions. During the selection process Doka's extensive experience in highrise projects once again allowed it to rise above the competition. As a result, the company reinforces its position as one of the leading formwork suppliers in the segment including the world's tallest structures. This project calls for use of automatic climbing formwork for forming the building's core. Construction started in September 2013, with completion scheduled for autumn 2016.

International references, such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Tower 2 and 4 of the new World Trade Center in New York as well as the Lotte World Tower in Seoul underscore Doka's competency and leadership role.

In addition to apartments and luxury residences, the Spira Tower is to accommodate a shopping centre, an exclusive restaurant and a 5-star hotel.

Beside the Spira Tower, Doka recently won another highrise project and is going to provide a high-performing formwork solution for the 215-m high office building “Crescent City” in Baku, Azerbaijan. The bordering tower counting 34 storeys and a total height of 147 m is also going to be formed by Doka’s customized systems.
