Įspūdžiai

Doka has added Ringlock scaffolding to its range in partnership with leading manufacturer ATPAC, enabling customers to source formwork and scaffolding from a single supplier, ensuring seamless planning, efficient assembly and fast availability. Doka Latvia is now making significant strides in the field of scaffolding, offering impressive solutions for a wide range of industries.

Building the foundations: Doka and AT-PAC join forces
Doka's journey in the scaffolding market began with a strategic partnership with AT-PAC. Initially, Doka sought to enhance its construction solutions by integrating a scaffolding system that would complement its world-renowned expertise in formwork. Over time, this partnership created tremendous synergies that led to becoming part of Doka in 2023.

Doka acquires AT-PAC in full
Robert Hauser, CEO of Doka, explains the rationale behind the acquisition: "Doka's original idea was to acquire its own scaffolding product line and open up a new business segment - manufacturing. The construction industry is very dependent on economic and seasonal fluctuations and we wanted to become more independent from them.Industry, on the other hand, has a more constant demand and offers continuous growth opportunities."
Following the acquisition, Doka has fully integrated Ringlock scaffolding into its portfolio, providing a single supplier for both formwork and scaffolding. This streamlined approach improves efficiency on site, reduces complexity and saves time. The professional rental process that has long been a hallmark of Doka's formwork division has now been extended to scaffolding, offering flexibility and reliability to customers around the world.

Doka's future plans and innovations
Doka's ambitions go beyond expanding its scaffolding offering - the company is actively working on innovations to shape the future of the construction industry. At Bauma 2025, Doka will present groundbreaking solutions, including the Ringlock hybrid standard for facades, which combines Ringlock with framed scaffolding elements for greater adaptability. In addition, Ringlock's Multi-Purpose Beam System (MPBS) is designed to change the use of scaffolding, offering configurations for suspended scaffolding as well as bridge and long spans.

Scaffolding success stories in Latvia
Doka's entry into the scaffolding industry is already visible on the Latvian market. The versatility and efficiency of Ringlock scaffolding is demonstrated by several projects. Here are some of them!

Reconstruction of the pylons of the Pļaviņas HPP
One of the most technically challenging projects was the reconstruction of the pylons of the Plavinas Hydroelectric Power Plant. The project required the suspension of scaffolding from top to bottom, demonstrating Ringlock's adaptability in a challenging environment. Despite the logistical challenges, the Doka solution provided a safe and efficient working platform for the renovation work.
The project was complicated not only because of the height and structural complexity, but also because it had to be worked above water. The flexibility of the Ringlock modules allowed the engineers to create a suspended solution that kept the workers stable and safe during all stages of construction.

Stage of the Great Concert of Latvia
Another notable project was the construction of a large stage for the Latvian Grand Concert at Mežaparks Stage. Doka scaffolding supported the massive structure, giving it an impressive and professional appearance. Ringlock's reliability made it the ideal choice for an event of this scale.
Especially for this grand event, Doka designed a massive Ringlock stage 18 metres high and 75 metres wide, weighing 50 tonnes. To ensure the stability of the structure, it was built with a remarkable depth of 18.5 metres, supported by 56-tonne weights.
In addition, huge LED panels were mounted on the structure, on which the lyrics were projected. The stage structure itself was assembled in just three days, after which the LED panels were installed.

Restoration of St John's Church in Riga's Old Town
Dock scaffolding was also used in the restoration of the tower of St John's Church in Riga. The project required a high degree of precision, as the scaffolding had to be integrated into a delicate architectural environment. Using the latest digital planning tools, Doka engineers designed a scaffolding system that allowed the workers to carry out the restoration work safely, without compromising the integrity of the building.
The church had no architectural plans, which created an additional challenge. Doka used a laser rangefinder to create digital plans, ensuring accurate scaffolding placement. A 39 metre high Ringlock scaffold tower was constructed, which provided safe access to the upper sections of the church while preventing structural disruption.

Doka Ringlock global success
Latvia is not the only country where Doka Ringlock has made a difference. The system has been used successfully in major infrastructure projects throughout Europe and the world.
Vöest Bridge, Austria. Doka scaffolding was used to carry out critical repairs to a 65-metre-high pylon. The Ringlock system provided stability without tension anchors, allowing workers to safely access the bridge's structural elements.
Sinfonia Varsovia is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. The double Ringlock system allowed the restorers to strengthen century-old walls while maintaining a safe working environment for the construction workers.
Horst Castle, Belgium. The restoration of this historic monument used a wider Ringlock platform to safely carry out the work, leaving no impact on the historic structure of the building.
These projects demonstrate the adaptability of Ringlock scaffolding to a wide range of applications, from heritage restoration to large-scale infrastructure upgrades.
