City Tunnel, Leipzig, contract section C

Germany

The 'City Tunnel Leipzig' will be the connecting link between the two terminus stations 'Leipzig Hauptbahnhof' main station and 'Bayrischer Bahnhof'. Contract section C: Toward the north, the tunnel passes beneath Leipzig's main railway station, leading to a section which is being constructed as a cut-and-cover tunnel complete with a flying junction. The 800 m long northern and western ramps then link the tunnel to the surface-level network.
