Hanau-Nantenbach railway upgrade - Hirschberg Tunnel

The Hirschberg Tunnel is located to the south of the Schwarzbach River; the tunnel ends just short of the Etzbach River crossing. The structure consists of two single-track tubes, each constructed by a different method. The northern tube is 375 long and it was constructed by the cut-and-cover method on account of the shallow soil cover. To reduce the number of form-tie points the SL-1 formwork traveller was fitted with Wall formwork Top100 and the concreting was monolithic. All the assembly and disassembly work on the formwork traveller was carried out by the Doka formwork pre-assembly team.
