Lüchow bypass

Germany

After German reunification in 1989, the B 248 regained its former significance as a major north-south axis. However, this led to over 15,000 vehicles a day attempting to pass through the town centre on it. In view of the road's function as the town's main shopping street, it was decided to build a bypass instead.
