Construction of Waterway connecting Andong Dam and Imha Dam (Water Intake Tower)

South Korea

Once the construction of Andong-Imha Waterway is completed, it's expected that 23.7 million tons of water will flow from Lake Imha to Lake Andong.
Due to short capacity of Lake Imha, there was no choice but to discharge the water resource in the rainy season. Through the new waterway, the water will be moved to and stored in Lake Andong. As a result, we will be able to reduce waste of water and utilize water resource more economically.
