After much anticipation, Expo 2020 Dubai opens its doors for six months, starting on 01st October 2021 with Doka showcasing its digital solutions as part of the Austrian Pavilion.

With 440 ha (an area greater than 600 soccer fields), 200 countries and international organisations, and more than 20 million expected visitors, Expo 2020 is an exhibition of superlatives. At the Austrian Pavilion, a total of 53 solutions, products and services chosen by a jury of high-profile experts will be presented, including several by Doka, the international formwork and scaffolding company from Amstetten.

In the first phase, which runs from October till December, visitors will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with three digital solutions in the iLab, the heart of the Austrian Pavilion where DokaXact, Concremote and CONTAKT will be introduced using a digital presentation in the “Innovation Towers”. There will also be a physical exhibition consisting of a miniature exhibit of the Framed formwork Frami Xlife, which will be entirely produced using 3-D printing technology.

DokaXact is an interactive sensor-based system used for the accurate positioning of wall formwork elements for vertical structures, such as high-rise concrete cores.
Concremote uses sensors to measure the temperature and calculates compressive strength of the concrete structure. This makes it possible to gauge concrete performance and initiate the necessary measures, such as stripping at exactly the right time.
CONTAKT transmits real-time data from the construction site, thanks to specially developed sensor technology, and enables workflow analysis and the optimisation of construction processes.
