Hochbrücke Freimann motorway overpass

Germany

On the northern outskirts of Munich, the 586 m long Hochbrücke Freimann overpass was built to carry the 9-lane A9 Nuremberg-Munich motorway across two multi-lane ring-roads and several railway lines. Severe damage from de-icing salt necessitated the partial demolition and rebuilding of the overpass, yet while maintaining traffic flow.
