Doka supports the construction of the world’s tallest residential tower in Dubai

The Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences will be the world’s tallest residential building in Dubai when completed. Developed by Binghatti in collaboration with the luxury watch and jewelry brand Jacob & Co, this project represents a new benchmark for architectural excellence and high-end living in Dubai. Rising in Business Bay, its sheer scale and architectural ambition, which includes distinctive diamond-shaped spires, required a formwork partner with deep engineering expertise and innovative solutions that could ensure speed, safety and precision.

Advanced solutions for efficient vertical progress
To meet the structural demands of a tower of this height, Doka is supplying a full package of formwork engineering and climbing solutions for both vertical and horizontal. The Automatic climbing system SKE50 plus allows core and shear walls to rise floor by floor, independent of crane availability. This is essential to keep the project on schedule, with each cycle targeting one floor per week. Parallel site operations benefit from a self-climbing platform, which provides additional working levels, enabling teams to coordinate multiple activities safely and efficiently.

For slab construction, the lightweight Dokadek 30 system ensures fast assembly and consistent quality, while Doka’s Protection screen Xclimb 60 enclose the work areas, creating a safe environment at slab edge. Supporting operations further, the flexible table lifting system (TLS) climbs hydraulically with the platform system, easing handling across all working areas. For the final stage of construction, Doka will deliver additional protection screens to safeguard crews during the façade works ensuring safety and efficiency right to the very top.

On site, Doka’s engineering team works hand in hand with the main contractor, ensuring that assembly, logistics and safety follow best-practice standards.
