Westbahn Tunnel at Stans

Austria

This 634 m long railway tunnel was built by Alpine Bau GmbH using the cut-and-cover method. A high-performing Doka tunnel slab traveller was in service here for the cover slab, which has a haunched cross-section. Owing to the varying cross-sectional shape, Doka planned an easily adaptable tunnel formwork
traveller that was designed to separate in the middle.
