Bridge over River Main, Ochsenfurt

Germany

Dating back to the late Middle Ages, the multi-arched stone bridge across the River Main in Ochsenfurt was no longer able to cope with present-day traffic volumes. Having strict regard to conservation requirements, it is thus being rehabilitated and, in the river zone, being given a new fair-faced concrete superstructure that is being constructed of pre-stressed concrete using the cantilevering method.
