Doka is taking another important step towards sustainability. In addition to the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) for formwork products, the CO2 footprint for scaffolding is also available. Doka customers now have access to PCF data for around 7,000 products.
Data on greenhouse gas emissions plays a crucial role in the fight against climate change and is becoming increasingly important. For more than two years now, Doka has been setting standards in the formwork and scaffolding industry with the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) for its formwork products. Now Doka has also calculated the CO2 footprint of the scaffolding system Ringlock.
With the PCF for formwork and scaffolding, Doka provides valuable information transparently from a single source. It supports its customers in making conscious, environmentally friendly, and sustainable purchasing and rental decisions, thus helping them achieve their sustainability goals.
With 7,000 products now available, Doka's PCF can be considered a great success. But far from being a static concept, Doka sees it as a model that is constantly being improved and expanded.
"We are not the only ones with big sustainability goals. Our customers are also increasingly concerned about this issue. As a result, the demands on Doka are also increasing. We are, therefore, working specifically on improving the carbon footprint of our products and offering our customers even more sustainable solutions. With the PCF for our Ringlock system, we have once again made a strong statement in favour of transparency and sustainability," says Julia Weber, Head of Sustainability at Doka.
