After a one-year postponement, the Expo 2020 will open its doors in Dubai for six months starting on 1 October 2021. Doka will be there, presenting itself with digital solutions and an exhibit to a public of millions in the Austrian Pavilion.

With 440 ha (an area greater than 600 soccer fields), 200 countries and international organisations, and more than 20 million expected visitors, Expo 2020 is an exhibition of superlatives. A total of 53 solutions, products and services chosen by a jury of high-profile experts will be presented in the Austrian Pavilion. That includes Doka, the international formwork and scaffolding company from Amstetten.

In the first phase of the temporary world exhibition from October to December, visitors will have the opportunity to get to know three digital solutions in the iLab, the heart of the Austrian Pavilion. DokaXact, Concremote and CONTAKT are introduced using a digital presentation in the so-called “InnovationTowers”. There will also be a physical exhibition consisting of a miniature exhibit of the Framed formwork Frami Xlife from the 3-D printer.
“With our digital services, we’re focusing on the construction methods of tomorrow. Therefore, I’m convinced that at the Expo 2020 we’re making a significant contribution to reinforcing the international perception of Austria and its innovative potential”, Robert Hauser continues.

DokaXact is an interactive sensor-based system used for the accurate positioning of wall formwork elements for vertical structures, such as high-rise concrete cores.
Concremote uses sensors to measure the temperature and calculates compressive strength of the concrete structure. This makes it possible to gauge concrete performance and initiate the necessary measures – such as stripping – at exactly the right time.
