South Clyde Energy Centre

Glasgow, UK

South Clyde Energy Centre

Doka supplied 150 tonnes of slipforming for the construction of a waste treatment plant. Both the walls and columns of the 35x33m waste facility and the turbine and boiler core were erected efficiently and safely using Doka Slipform. The slipforming was designed with 3 levels and, with its wide working platforms of up to 1.5 metres, contributed to safe and therefore economical working. Doka worked with the contractor to optimise the concrete mix to achieve a perfect surface, clean edges and flawless corners. The DokaXact digital laser documented the entire construction process in real time.
