Strategically situated at the new Eurolink V business park, the facility will form a major part of the fifth phase of the large-scale Eurolink development site.

The modern, 2-storey facility, located just minutes from the M2 (J5) and the M20 (J7), will benefit Doka’s customers by offering improved capacity with the capability to hold and maintain greater amounts of stock – this will also benefit customers choosing to purchase specialist formwork components and accessories through Doka’s new Online Shop.

The Eurolink Business Park location was carefully selected due to good access to transport links via the new Sittingbourne Northern Relief Road. Sittingbourne train station is also conveniently placed within a mile of the new facility and direct access to the motorway network and the Port of Sheerness.

Having also recently announced the opening of the new operating branch in Glasgow, Doka UK’s goal for the upcoming years in clear – to boost levels of service offered to customers across all areas of the UK.

“We are delighted to announce the start of construction works on our new headquarters in Sittingbourne is now well underway”, said Hennie Roebroeks, Managing Director of Doka UK. “This new facility is located in close proximity to great transport networks links, allowing us to service our customers more effectively when the office opens its doors”, Hennie added.

“The project is currently running on track for completion for the end of the year, ready for the branch to open officially in the first quarter of 2020”, Doka’s Project Manager, Jan Radlbauer explains.

The objective of the new premises is to widen and strengthen customer relationships and ultimately support contractors to work more productively on construction sites – ranging from high-rise structures, to bridges, tunnels, power plants and more. The vision is also to provide employees with an improved office space and facilities.

“Doka is a growing, well-established company that has gone from strength to strength,” said Hennie. “In addition with the benefits which will be passed onto customers such as improved logistics handling for equipment hauling and the holding of additional stocks, it cannot be overlooked that the new office facilities have been carefully planned and designed to attract and retain skilled employees covering all areas of the business”, Hennie continued.

Having operated within the UK for over 20 years, with branches in Maidstone, Sheffield and Glasgow, there have been many significant milestones, some of which include many successful major projects including Manchester Engineering Campus Development, the new Queensferry Crossing, a new EFW (energy from waste) plant in Dundee as well as Europe’s largest ongoing Civils project in Hinkley, just to name a few.

Doka’s headquarters in the UK were established in Maidstone, Kent in 1997. In total, the three UK branches combined, employs 74 people. “This is an exciting time for Doka UK and marks a huge milestone for the company, its employees and customers who will all benefit from the opportunities this expansion presents,” said Hennie.
