Bridge formwork ParaTop

The bridge overhang bracket formwork system for steel-composite and pre-cast concrete bridges

The bridge overhang bracket formwork system for steel-composite and pre-cast concrete bridges

DownloadsVideos

For both steel-composite and pre-cast concrete superstructures

thanks to modular system concept

Highly versatile, as it

  • can be fixed to either concrete or steel bridge girders (2 separate types of insert-shoe)
  • can easily be adapted to different cross-sections of cantilever slab with components from the modular Top 50 “kit”
  • does not collide with stiffening plates or girder studs. Any bracket spacing can be selected within the permitted influence width

Cost-cutting

as all work is carried out from the superstructure

Less equipment and erection-work needed, as

  • there are no platforms or scaffolds beneath the superstructure, and formwork set-up & alignment, reinforcing, pouring and stripping are all done only from above
  • the large influence width of the bracket mean there are fewer brackets to install, adjust and remove
  • formwork removal is made easy by the hard chrome-plated insert-cones, with no need for mounting-sleeves

Fast construction progress

assured by optimized system design

Saves time, as

  • the assembly sequence is easy to understand, with only three ParaTop system components required (insert-shoe, insert-channel, insert-cone)
  • erection and dismantling times are shortened because there are less brackets / hangers to install and it is possible to easily gang multiple brackets to set and strip in units.
  • hanging the overhang bracket formwork into place takes less crane-time – there is no need to laboriously thread in tie-rods, as the overhang brackets are supported from insert-shoes that are installed in advance.
