Casamar Oceanfront Development Takes Shape with Efficient Formwork Solutions

Located at 911 N Ocean Blvd in Pompano Beach, the Casamar project is a 21-story luxury residential high-rise that offers breathtaking views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Designed by the renowned Rockwell Group and Arquitectonica, this 220-foot tower is set to become a landmark of sophisticated coastal living. The structure utilizes state-of-the-art formwork systems, including Doka’s Frami Xlife for the core, Eurex 30 Props for reshoring, and Truss Tables for shoring, ensuring strength, flexibility, and efficiency throughout the construction process.

The development site’s tight lot lines posed a significant challenge, offering little to no room for material laydown. Additionally, the possibility of design changes during construction demanded a formwork system that could be easily adapted on-site. Doka’s experienced team of engineers and field service technicians worked closely with Coast to Coast Forms to devise a preconstruction plan tailored to these unique challenges.

Doka’s Frami Xlife lightweight formwork system allowed for quick and easy handling, while the optimized delivery schedule enabled materials to move directly from trucks into position, eliminating the need for extensive laydown space. The innovative use of truss tables, starting as low as the third floor, significantly reduced crane picks, improving site efficiency and helping the project stay on schedule. The integration of Doka’s durable plywood further supported the successful execution of the formwork plan.
