Responsibility is part of the deal for the Umdasch Group

The Umdasch Group has set itself the goal of linking knowledge, business and values and thus fulfilling the responsibility that both the Umdasch Group and its companies have to society.

More than 90 national and international projects and initiatives have been supported since the Umdasch Group Foundation was established in 2015.

The purpose is to give young people access to training in order to ensure equality of opportunities and to promote topics such as diversity and digitalisation. These priority areas are some of the factors that play a crucial role in determining our corporate group’s economic success.

”Training is the best investment in our future.”

Many women and girls show very little interest in technical education, in spite of attractive jobs and excellent job prospects. This was the thinking behind the MINTality Foundation, which was set up by the Umdasch Group and other companies in 2022. This foundation aims to inspire girls to take up MINT professions – mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology – at an early age and thus to break down stereotypes over the long term.

Together we drive momentum

As part of the Umdasch Group, we at Doka aim to not only be economically successful, but also fulfill our ecological and social responsibilities as well as our responsibility as an employer. Therefore, we regularly set impulses within and outside our company and drive international initiatives that make our common working and living environment more sustainable.

“It is our responsibility to society to provide good training and appropriate specialisation that correspond to the students’ interests and aptitudes. And training is also the key to our future as a competitive company.”

Another of the Umdasch Group Foundation’s cooperation projects is the “42 Vienna” training programme where, as one of the co-initiators, we have been involved right from the start. This revolutionary and free-of-charge programming training challenges traditional learning methods with a unique peer-to-peer model which involves students learning both with and from each other, with no distinction made between school and university qualifications, gender or age.

The first campus in Vienna is opening in October 2022 as part of a network of over 15,000 students at 44 locations worldwide and thus provides the best possible guarantee of trained IT talent for the future.

Both Doka and the Umdasch Group benefit from these training initiatives, because they guarantee diversity across the wide range of IT and technical professions.

However, the Umdasch Group Foundation’s cooperation arrangements also benefit employees. Thanks to the special further training programmes they have access to benefits such as the chance to apply for the “42 Vienna” programme.

Doka and Umdasch Group are committed to sustainable development.
This is why we subscribe to initiatives that are aligned with the United Nations’ “Sustainable Development Goals”.
