At the overpass of the reconstructed road I/48, which is being upgraded to motorway D48 near Palačov, the Ringlock scaffolding system was used for the very first time in the Czech Republic as a shoring construction. The structure supported beam formwork supplemented with multipurpose walers and the three-layer Doka 3-So sheet for decking the bridge slab. The company Firesta Fišer demonstrated here that Ringlock, thanks to its robustness, can withstand even the demanding conditions of transport infrastructure construction.
WWTP Brno–Modřice: work with emphasis on precision and protection
As part of the modernization of the wastewater treatment plant in Modřice, the Doka Ringlock system was used as both internal working and supporting scaffolding inside the digestion tanks – concrete tanks with a diameter of 24 meters and a height of nearly 20 meters. The scaffolding was designed both as a working platform for finishing concrete surfaces and as a support structure for the perimeter section of the 400 mm thick ceiling slab. Reliability, stability, and ease of handling were key factors. For supporting the inner section of the ceiling structure, the fixed Staxo 100 shoring system was used. The ceiling formwork was built using the Dokaflex system, while the Concremote sensor system helped monitor concrete curing with maximum precision.
Gas pipeline reconstruction at the Opava sugar factory: spatial support without interrupting operation
The third example of the Ringlock system’s versatility comes from the reconstruction of support structures for a gas pipeline within the Opava Sugar Factory premises. During the replacement of the supports, the company Gascontrol needed to keep the pipeline operational without interruption. Three Ringlock towers were used to create a spatial support structure that temporarily carried the gas pipeline, which spans nearly half the site. For the repair of the foundations, Frami Xlife framed wall formwork was deployed—an ideal solution for smaller structures, as it allows for handling without the need for a crane.
Renovation of Pardubice railway station: working platform for ceiling repairs in the hall
The Ringlock system was also used for the renovation of the Pardubice railway station. Here, Ringlock serves as a spatial scaffolding structure with a working platform at the top. This platform will be used for renovation work on the ceiling of the historic station hall. The assembly of the spatial scaffolding was carried out by the scaffolding company Lešení No 22 for the construction company Stavitelství – Trunec s.r.o. The scaffolding structure is installed in the one side of the hall, but operational corridors for passengers were also taken into account, so the hall remains fully operational.
